A young woman and a young man meet one afternoon in front of an abandoned cinema in Beirut and draw themselves into a mouvement between continuity and discontinuity, loss and enchantment- possibly a reflection of the city itself. A homage to silent cinema. The title (arabic: red) refers to the name of a closed cinema and to the name of the downtown area in Beirut.

Early hour in Beirut. The picture shows a 90 degree panorama over the urban skyline in a back and forth movement as a cultural worker reports on his kidnapping by the State’s Secret Service.

A nocturne shot at the Sants Rail station in Barcelona. A global congress challenges the city’s possibilities for accommodation. The film shows stranded passengers gathering at the station in the wake of a day to come. An anamorphosis of the gaze, a visual ode to inter-seminal spaces between the common and the singular.

A title strip made out of the names of individuals which the artist has met on the way to her exhibitions or to those of her friends. The music of Astor Piazzola ‘Tierra querida’ encounters a form of Aesthetics of Relations in the sense of Nicolas Bourriaud.

A video-installation showing the mirrored picture of a shot on a highway by just capturing the lanterns with alteration in sizes. The title refers to a translation of a book by philosopher Paul Virilio reflecting on a society in constant mobility.

A shot showing the difficulty of pedestrians crossing a street in a traffic junction in Cairo creating a fluid movement with uncontrolled cuts imposed by the mechanic charging system of a Krasnogorsk 16 mm camera.

A one-angle-shot in a habitation district in Berlin at winter time showing daily human activities. The shot ends when the camera shuts down due to the camera´s functionally requested minimum outside temperature.

Documentation video of a temporary installation created in the Bay of Zlarin Island on the Adriatic Sea

The installation is made out of 1001 candles connected to each other via an underwater string and weight system designed to reproduce the star system in its summer constellation.
